MoodStat is local-first. Your mood entries, tags, and detailed check-ins are stored on your device by default. There is no account, and nothing is uploaded to a server unless you explicitly export or back up your own data.

The short version

A mood diary is one of the most personal things you can keep. MoodStat is built so that trusting it doesn't require trusting us — there is simply nowhere for your data to go. Every insight and report is computed on your device, and the app works fully offline.

What we don't collect

• No mood or journal content leaves your device unless you export or back it up yourself.
• No account is required to use the app.
• No ads, no third-party trackers, and no analytics harvesting your behaviour.
• Your entries are never used to train AI — ours or anyone else's.
• No selling or sharing of personal data with third parties.

Your data is portable

Export everything to CSV or JSON at any time, and import it back — free, on every plan. You choose the destination via your device's file picker. Leaving is as easy as staying.

How MoodStat is funded

MoodStat is paid for by people who choose Pro, never by selling what you feel. Pro adds reflection tools that are still computed entirely on your device.

Not a medical service

MoodStat supports self-awareness and is not a medical device or a substitute for professional mental health care. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency services or a mental health helpline.
